What is basement tanking?

Basement tanking is a specialist waterproofing system and is not suitable for all damp problems.

Basement tanking involves applying a waterproof barrier to the walls of a basement or cellar in order to prevent moisture penetration and therefore subsequent damp and mould problems. Once the appropriate waterproofing solution has been applied, the basement or cellar’s walls can be covered or plastered to create a smooth surface on which to decorate.

I was very please with the work the company has done. I had damp throughout the house so had damp-proofing including an injection of damp course. Given the extent of the job they completed the work efficiently and with minimum disruption. The workmen were always polite and very helpful. The finished work was excellent.
